The Alimrose Story
Alimrose Designs is a delightful toy company with a long history. It’s been around since the 1980s although back then it was known as Native Bush Babies. Two women with a shared dream came up with the idea of designing dolls for their own children. They were proud of their Australian heritage and disappointed that they could not find Australian themed toys for their children.
The started making dolls and figurines that were based on May Gibbs stories. Bolstered by the success and popularity of these dolls, Native Bush Babies expanded to include bibs, cushions, quilts and items for the home. .
